Terms & Conditions

Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE — TO CONFIRM AT LAUNCH]
Last updated: [LAST UPDATED DATE — TO CONFIRM AT LAUNCH]

1. Who we are

Wasel Motors ("we", "us"), at waselmotors.com, sells brand-new cars bought from franchised dealers in Oman to buyers abroad, and arranges their export. It is operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME — TO CONFIRM], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS — TO CONFIRM]. Registration details: [COMMERCIAL REGISTRATION / TAX DETAILS — TO CONFIRM]. You can reach us at [CONTACT EMAIL — TO CONFIRM] or through our contact page.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply to everyone who uses the site — browsing cars, sending an enquiry, or corresponding with us about one. By using waselmotors.com you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

They cover the use of this website. They are not the contract for the sale of a car: that contract is made separately, in writing, between you and us, and its terms prevail over anything on this page. [RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THESE TERMS AND THE SALE CONTRACT — TO CONFIRM WITH LEGAL COUNSEL.]

3. What Wasel Motors is — and is not

Wasel Motors is the seller. There is no marketplace, no third-party seller and no private listing: every car on this site is one we buy from a dealer in Oman. Specifically, we:

  • buy the car ourselves, from a franchised dealer in Oman, once you commit to it;
  • arrange the export documents and the shipping to the port you name;
  • do not sell used cars, and do not publish cars belonging to anyone else;
  • do not take payment through this website, and no page here asks for card or bank details;
  • do not register or licence the car in your country, and do not act as your customs agent on arrival;
  • do not offer finance, loans, insurance or any related financial service.

4. A listing is a specification, not a car

Each listing describes a model in a particular specification — its trim, engine, drivetrain, colours and model year. It is not an individual vehicle held in stock, and it carries no chassis number, because a chassis number belongs to a unit allocated to a buyer.

Each listing also states its availability. Where a listing says a car is in stock, that means a dealer holds that unit at the time of publication; where it states a lead time, that is our estimate of how long supply takes, not a guaranteed date. Where it says "Not in stock", we cannot get that car at present. The listing stays on the site, after every car we can supply, and you may still ask about it, but it cannot be ordered unless we confirm in writing that we can supply it.

5. Prices

Prices are shown in US dollars and are the price of the car in Oman. They do not include shipping, insurance, duty, taxes, registration or any cost arising in your country; shipping is quoted separately on request. A price on the site is the price we believe we can honour when it is published. Dealer prices move, and where one moves we correct the listing. A quote we send you states its own validity period, and that quote — not the website — is what binds. [Payment and cancellation terms — to be set out here once settled. Do not fill this in with an assumption.]

6. Specification, photographs and availability

We describe what we sell as exactly as we can, and we say where the description comes from:

  • Where a listing has photographs, they are the manufacturer's or the dealer's images of that model in that specification. They are not photographs of the individual car you will receive, and the listing says so.
  • Manufacturers change specifications between model years and between markets. We confirm the exact specification with the dealer before you commit, and the confirmed specification is the one that forms part of the sale.
  • Availability and lead times are our honest expectation at the time of publication and can change. When we cannot get a car, its listing is marked "Not in stock" (section 4), and we tell you so rather than substituting another.

7. Import rules are yours to satisfy

Every country sets its own rules on vehicle age, emissions, duty, inspection and registration, and those rules decide whether a car can be registered when it arrives. We will tell you what we know and we will not publish a claim about another country's rules unless we have checked it — but you are responsible for confirming your own side before you commit. Our cars are left-hand drive, and we will say plainly when a destination cannot register them.

8. What the car does not come with

Two things follow from buying a new car from us rather than from a franchised dealer in your own country, and you accept both when you buy:

  • The manufacturer's warranty does not cross the border. A factory warranty is honoured by the dealer network in the country that sold the car, and exporting the car ends it. If we arrange any other cover, the quote names it and says how you claim it; if the quote names none, there is none.
  • Your country will treat the car as used. It is brand new — zero kilometres and never registered — but because we are not a franchised dealer, a destination classifies a car sold on by a third party as used, and its rules for used imports apply: inspection and conformity, and in some markets a ban. Section 7 applies to those rules as it does to any other.

9. Enquiries and the messages we send

When you send an enquiry we use what you give us to answer it, as set out in our Privacy Policy. Where you contact us on WhatsApp, that conversation uses WhatsApp's own service and is governed by WhatsApp's terms and privacy policy, not ours. Contact details on this site are published so that a buyer can reach us about a car; collecting or using them for marketing, bulk messaging or resale is prohibited.

10. Things you must not do

  • Impersonate someone else, or send an enquiry under a name or address that is not yours.
  • Send bulk or automated enquiries, or attempt to defeat the limits that stop them.
  • Scrape, copy or bulk-extract listings, photographs or contact details.
  • Interfere with the site, or attempt to access data that is not yours.
  • Send anything unlawful, abusive or discriminatory.

If anyone contacts you claiming to be Wasel Motors and asks you to send money other than under a written agreement with us, tell us.

11. Content on the site

The text, photographs and other content on waselmotors.com belong to us or to the manufacturers and dealers who provided them, and are used here to describe cars we offer. You may not reproduce them elsewhere without permission.

12. Availability of the site

We work to keep the site up and accurate, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of errors. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we may withdraw or correct a listing at any time.

13. Limits on our responsibility

This website is a catalogue and an invitation to enquire. Nothing on it is an offer capable of acceptance, and no contract arises until we have agreed terms with you in writing. We are not responsible for a destination country's import decisions, for a carrier's delays, or for costs arising outside Oman. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. [SCOPE AND CAP OF LIABILITY, AND CONSUMER RIGHTS IN EACH DESTINATION MARKET — TO BE DRAFTED AND CONFIRMED BY LEGAL COUNSEL.]

14. Sanctions and export control

We will not proceed with a sale, a shipment or a payment that we believe would breach sanctions, export controls or our own bank's requirements, and we may decline or stop one at any stage for that reason. [SANCTIONS AND EXPORT-CONTROL POSITION, AND THE MARKETS IT AFFECTS — TO CONFIRM WITH LEGAL COUNSEL AND THE BANK, IN WRITING, BEFORE ANYTHING IS PROMISED.]

15. Other sites

The site links to services we do not control, including WhatsApp. We are not responsible for them, and their own terms apply when you use them.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date at the top. If a change is significant we will make that clear on the site.

17. Governing law

[GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION — TO CONFIRM WITH LEGAL COUNSEL. This now involves buyers in several countries, so do not fill it in with an assumption.]

18. Contact

Questions about these terms: [LEGAL CONTACT EMAIL — TO CONFIRM], or use our contact page. See also our Privacy Policy and How it works.
